“Surf, Yoga, Live Music International Retreat in
Playa Gigante, Nicaragua ”

First Vibe Maker International Wellness Retreat! It was full of magic, play, presence, beauty, appreciation, and adventure.

In this Surf, Yoga & Wellness retreat, we stayed together in a boutique hotel in Playa Gigantes off the Emerald Coast in beautiful Nicaragua hosted by Room to Roam (thank you Kate, Chance & Ashley). The hotel has on site Palapa restaurant with amazing culinary team, meals vary and made fresh each day with the delicious local food. Shout out to the homies Marcos, Jason, Saddam, Raul, Rodrigo, little Jose + more <3

Our vibes got elevated all week with Ginger Roots, an amazing reggae roots band from Encinitas, CA, thank you Chase and Spencer! Added to the mix was David Elecciri who plays lead guitar with legendary reggae band Steel Pulse and also produces music.

We walked to local surf spot called Amarillo then also ventured out to other breaks such as Popoyo (cerca “Magnificent Rock”). Jenna Ramsey led a wellness workshop on “The Brain of the Heart” as well as some heart centered yoga classes. We watched the sunset every day, took boat rides to white sand beaches, and sang Karaoke at local bar “La Patrona.”

We swam took a ferry across Lake Nicaragua to “Isla de Ometepe” to swim in the fresh volcanic waters, visit the local butterfly sanctuary and enjoy fresh coconuts mixed with rum :)

For us enjoying the retreat, I think we could agree that our most heart filling moment was when we joined the children at local elementary school called “Jose Delores Rivera” for community connection, fun with piñatas, school supply donations, and some music love from Ginger Roots.
